Absolutely excellent vet: caring, experienced, excellent diagnostics, good facilities, respect for clients and their animals. I have had a lot of cats through the practice in the past 20 years, as I'm a breeder and am involved in rescue, and I'm more than happy with all the vets in the practice. Andrew Bartholomew is known as an expert on greyhounds and for 'sports' injuries in general. Both the RSPCA and Cats Protection only use this surgery in Oxford. The practice remains privately owned entirely because of the ethics of the vets who run it, despite approaches from corporate vet businesses to buy them out. It's a nice, friendly place, and your animal will like it - and the vets - far more than other surgeries. He has picked up a large clientele (myself included) as a result of other practices in the area not measuring up. That's a pretty good indicator. I would highly recommend this practice. The two vets we saw through the duration of my dog's cancer were excellent - caring, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer my questions. Their main concern was the welfare of my dog and on two occasions the vet even followed up on the phone after he started a new medication. The receptionists were aways friendly on the phone and with the extended appointment hours, we were always able to be seen within a day. When my dog was finally put to sleep, they could not have been better and allowed me to come back the following week to pay the bill.
